Stop back soon for the Autumn Date
USC Centennial Celebration for Surrounding Communities
In January 1925, in the midst of the Roaring Twenties, a small group of Truth students who had been meeting as a group decided to officially become a Unity church.
They began in Cleveland, meeting at the Hotel Cleveland. We are that church! Although the location and name changed a few times, USC is the church that the group founded.
Throughout this year, we are celebrating turning 100!
We will have an all day celebration!

Photos from top to bottom. Our congregation's first home was Hotel Cleveland, that opened in 1918. Today it is a historic hotel on Public Square, part of the Tower City complex. The 1925 Model T Ford was a common vehicle at that time. The newspaper image is the front page of the Plain Dealer on the date of our congregation's first meeting, 01/24/1925. The Plain Dealer was once a daily morning newspaper in Cleveland.
