Centennial

An All-Day Celebration!

Saturday, August 23, 2025

This page will be updated as plans are finalized.

Stop back soon!

Centennial

In January 1925, in the midst of the Roaring Twenties, a small group of Truth students who had been meeting as a group decided to officially become a Unity church.

They began in Cleveland, meeting at the Hotel Cleveland. We are that church! Although the location and name changed a few times, USC is the church that the group founded.

We are looking for old pictures of the church.  Can you help?  Share your photos and stories with Centennial Historian, Greg Skuderin. Contact Greg at gdskuderin@ameritech.net.

A Note from Rev. Richard

Motel T

Please reserve Saturday, August 23 for USC’s Centennial celebration. Events include a Welcome Reception and Open House, a Memory Circle (open sharing), an All-community Picnic, a group photograph, Labyrinth walks, youth activities, music and dance lessons by decade, an ice cream social, the premiere of a commemorative video - all culminating with 100 Years of Music (5:30 p.m.) and a Centennial Celebration Service (6:00 p.m.). Returning leaders and various dignitaries will be present as we look back in gratitude and reach forward in faith.

Engraved bricks and commemorative t-shirts will come available for order 100 days prior to the celebration! Bricks, engraved with the words of your choice, will lead to a Legacy Tree and Time Capsule installation ceremony to follow service on Sunday, August 24th.

Those who came before made ancient and universal ideas such as the unity of existence, the nobility of life, and the capacities of consciousness available to each of us. May we come together at this pivotal moment in our history, ready to make these same ideas available to countless souls yet to come.

If you would like to help, please contact Rev. Richard at revrichard@unityspiritualcenter.com.
