Aug. 31, 2025 - The Four Agreements IV
The Toltec were known throughout ancient southern Mexico as the “women and men of knowledge.” These scientists and artists formed a society at Teotihuacan, the ancient city of pyramids outside Mexico City known as the place where “Man Becomes God,” to practice and preserve their spiritual traditions. Please join us as we explore their practical ways as set forth by Don Miguel Ruiz in his timeless classic by the same title.

September 7, 2025 - The Wisdom of You
From Rev. Richard:
“From its inception, Unity sought to be a demonstrable and universal teaching - a teaching suggesting that the results of spiritual practices should be measurable, quantifiable, or in some fashion real, in our everyday lives. Said more clearly, from its earliest days, Unity sought to be practical! I have found this goal to be realized in my life. Have you?
“As I’ve actively deepened in my explorations of oneness, the powers of consciousness (whether within or without), the essential nature of being, the paradigm of an inherently supportive universe - as I’ve actively sought a God I could embrace as a reasoning, modern adult - I’ve changed. Have you?
“How has Unity or Unity Spiritual Center made a difference in your life? Have you experienced a change in body through active practice? A healed relationship? A new beginning? A paradigm shift?”
Last month Rev. Richard invited congregants to share their stories.
“I hold this as a powerful truth: we are better together. Your story will reach someone my story will not. Your presence will lend a comfort not available through me for whatever reasons. Your example will inspire and uplift where mine might be beyond reach. We are better together, and this is as it must be. Indeed, the Wisdom of You is well-celebrated in this leader and I’m grateful even now, to see it loosed upon our world in this new way.”

Rev. Richard and Matthew are on vacation. We welcome back Rev. Karen Shepherd. Rev. Karen began her life-long study of yoga and metaphysics as a teenager. Her studies led her to become a Prayer Practitioner in 2002 and a Licensed Unity Teacher in 2007. She enrolled in the Unity Urban Ministerial School in 2012 and was ordained in 2014. She received approval from the Board of Trustees of Unity Worldwide Ministries to operate her Unity Good Shepherd Ministries as an Alternative Unity Ministry. Rev. Karen maintains an active role in Unity ministry as a guest speaker, workshop leader, and wedding and funeral officiant in local Unity ministries.
