Unity Theme: One With All

Unity Affirmation: "I feel myself as part of this creation, connected to all of nature ... I am one with all." Ellen Debenport, Unity Minister and Author.

Unity Scripture: "In his hand is the life of every living thing and the breath of every human being." (Job 12:10)

Prayer by USC Prayer Chaplain Deb Larsen

Close your eyes and take a slow, gentle breath in…and as you exhale, allow everything that you have been holding onto to soften into the sacredness of this moment. Each inhale draws you deeper into stillness.  Each exhale ….releasing what no longer serves your becoming. In this Holy Moment, I open my mind and my heart to the One Presence and One Power that is God.  One Heart….One Mind….One Will….One God.  All as All. One- pointed focus.  Breathe. As I align with the Divine, I willingly release and let go of any thoughts of separation.  As I rest in the heart of God…I feel my consciousness expanding and every cell in my body vibrates with the Divine. I smile in the knowing that I am a perfect reflection of all that God is. Aligned with the Divine, I open my heart and feel the warm radiance of love’s presence….where love flows endlessly….wisdom guides every step….and our very presence becomes a blessing to all the world.  I lean into the infinite expanse of my true nature. I am One with pure source energy….One with God and One with all.  I experience and feel this oneness while in nature…watching a sunrise or a sunset…walking in a forest….gazing at the night sky….contemplating the boundless ocean.  I embrace the oneness that connects all living beings and honor the consciousness that runs through all forms of life.  In this space of higher consciousness, I embody  the Divine…creating a sense of awe and wonder….a deep abiding peace…. An acceptance of all that is….and a true freedom.  All of life is sacred. I uphold and honor all of life….our environment….our earth….and all of nature. My Oneness with the Divine and all that is restores a sense of balance and harmony within me and in my world.  With a grateful heart, I say thank you, God, for all the blessings overflowing in my life…blessings that nourish my soul, awakens my spirit and deepens my understanding of the interconnectedness of all life. And so, it is. Amen

Unity Theme: Be still.

Unity Affirmation: Be still. Be still. Be still… God in the midst of you is love - Myrtle Fillmore (1845–1931), Unity Cofounder

Unity Scripture: God is love, and those who abide in God, abide in love. (1 John 4:16)

Prayer by USC Prayer Chaplain Terri Brewer

Take a breath, and then another, moving into an awareness of the present moment.

To begin, take a deep breath and relax into this moment. Stillness cannot be rushed. Breathe slowly, feeling the peace of each breath.

Let us open our minds, our hearts. Breathing deeply, we open up, allowing a new level of understanding to appear.

Breathe in the incomprehensible power and presence of the divine in this moment. If it was separate from us, we could not conceive of it or feel it, but it is not separate, it is present within us right now. It is the consciousness of eternal renewal.

Most of all, we open to the possibility that things are not as they appear to our human nature. In faith, we see ourselves and our beloveds absolutely whole, healthy, happy. In faith, we see Truth.

Let us be in the stillness for a few moments, allowing higher consciousness to enlighten our view and to lighten our load. We are never alone. We live and move and have our being in love.

And so it is, and so we go forward to be…love.

Unity Theme: Good

Unity Affirmation: Look for the good, my friend, and the good will search you out. -Foster C McClellan, Unity Minister, 1918- 1998

Unity Scripture: If there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about those things. (Philippians 4:8)

Prayer by USC Prayer Chaplain Shannon Hoff-Smith

Breathing in, centering ourselves in the fullness of Christ Consciousness, we know that all is well.

Opening to Spirit, we can see the blessings in all people and all circumstances.

Although this is often easy, at times when it seems more challenging, we remember our Power of Will.

August celebrates the silver Power of Will that allows us to direct our vision to the silver lining and our highest and best in all situations.

Through our thoughts, words, prayers, and actions, we manifest good and gratitude for all that is.

And so it is, Amen.
