Unity's Monthly Theme, Affirmation, Scripture, and Prayer.

February

Unity Theme: Love

Unity Affirmation:  "If we would draw to us love, we must be love, be loving, and kind."  -Charles Fillmore, Unity Co-founder

Unity Scripture: "Beloved, let us love one another, because love is from God; everyone who loves is born of God and knows God."  (1 John 4:7)

Prayer by USC Prayer Chaplain Cheri Polk

"We affirm the living presence of Divine Love moving in and through all life. Love is the ground of our being, the light in our relationships, and the strength that guides our choices.

As Charles Fillmore reminds us, “Divine love is the most powerful thing in the universe.” We know this Love is not distant or abstract. It is active here and now, expressing as compassion, understanding, forgiveness, and care.

In this month devoted to Love, we open our hearts more fully. We allow Love to heal what feels tender, soften what has grown guarded, and renew our awareness of our shared humanity. Divine Love flows freely within us, between us, and through us, blessing our homes, our community, and our world."

We rest in the assurance that Love is always present, always sufficient, and always leading us into greater harmony and peace.

And so it is. Amen

Unity Theme: Portion of God

Unity Affirmation:
"We are each a portion of God made manifest." - H. Emilie Cady (Early Unity Author)

Unity Scripture: For we are what he has made us, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand to be our way of life. (Ephesians 2:10)

Prayer by USC Prayer Chaplain Vivian Baith

How blessed we are to know we are made in the image and likeness of God. To know we are fully human and fully Divine.  To know we are never alone.  To know that all that is loving, kind, giving, and forgiving are our attributes.

The loving Christ Spirit within prepares the way for health, prosperity, guidance, and wisdom.  As we turn within, we release all outer concerns and allow God's peace and love to fill our awareness.  God is our strength and courage to overcome anything in our lives that is limiting.

We are empowered to overcome all challenges in positive ways.

We go deep within and become aware of God as a living, loving presence within all creation.  In this loving awareness, we give thanks for the presence of God in our lives. In the quiet of deep inner stillness, we pray in faith, and a deep serenity enfolds us. All that we ever need to live a life of greatness is already ours, and we go forward in faith,

and so it is. Amen
