Please join together in supporting the following three goals as USC embarks upon the relaunch of Unity’s EarthCare program.
1. Getting good at trash-versus-recycle
Lids, caps, and labels may be included, and everything should be emptied and rinsed.
Please use any blue receptacle for
• metal and aluminum
• cartons such as milk, juice, soup, broth, and wine
• glass bottles and jars
• paper and flattened boxes such as newspapers, magazines, junk mail, cardboard, greeting cards, phone books, and paper cups
• plastic bottles, jugs, tubs, cups, and containers such as water and soda bottles, shampoo bottles, milk, water, laundry, and juice jugs, bleach bottles, butter tubs, yogurt tubs, yogurt cups, fruit cups, fast-food cups, and clear egg containers.
Please use any black receptacle for
• Everything else
(Please, no straws or Solo cups)
2. Turning out lights and turning off faucets
3. Helping us gradually eliminate non-compliant items such as Styrofoam drinking cups and using the remainder of our disposable K-cups
